Jake, this is a great start. You had mentioned in class that there were a few extra circles drawn on the first sheet while you and your friends had some fun with the figure. No worries there -- I might have done the same thing! Your second drawing shows your efforts to try to capture the pose while paying attention to proportions. This is a very challenging assignment, so I'm very glad to see your efforts. With practice, you'll see steady improvement!
What I like most about this is that from the point of view of someone who has no background in art, you are sharing the process and we can learn from your sharing. I hope that you will keep sharing your progress throughout the semester. It is also a great way to demonstrate your learning over the next four months.
