My first impression of this piece is that it looks "simple". It lacks excitement and isn't very eye catching. I understand it took time and a lot of effort to make, but it just doesn't appeal to me.
Well, at least you're honest! :) Do you think that it lacks excitement because there's simply too much to look at all at once? What if you were able to see just one scene at a time? Also, do you happen to know the material that has been used? In your assignment, I had hoped that you would be able to provide a really thorough description of the artwork that you're investigating. Imagine it this way: pretend that you have someone next to you who is blind-folded. If you're able to describe the artwork so well that they can picture it in their mind, you've done a good job.
